Keep it Simple

• Menu  Make the menu easy to navigate, and try to eliminate as many sub links as possible.
• Index Page  You have a very limited time to get your customers attention, so keep your page structure simple making it easy to read. Put important information on the index page, and then link to the pages telling more.
• Structure  Keep your information organized and easy to locate. Use bulleted lists instead of wordy paragraphs whenever possible.
• Titles  Make sure every page has a descriptive title (not just "home" or "page 2"). This is the description the search engines will use when listing your site. Also, when people save your site to their favorites, this is what they will see.
• Graphics  help a lot! Don't go overboard putting graphics everywhere on your page, but do add graphical symbols and pictures to help your clients to visualize your message.

Stay in Touch

• Mailing List  Make sure you have an opt-in to your mailing list on your index page, and encourage people to sign up.
• Offer Specials on your index page, and update them regularly. Changing your specials keeps your customers coming back.
